The bad news for marketing is that the rate of change isn’t slowing down, in fact, it’s going faster and faster with the technology advancements such as big data, VR/AR/MR, IOTs, and etc. The role of marketing has been changing and evolving overtime with the change of the power dynamic between marketers to consumers. And what effectiveness means has changed accordingly.
Although all the changes that we faced are as a result technology, however, to lead change doesn’t begin with technology. It starts with people – who put customers in the centre of the strategy.
